ESBA’s ‘Payin7’ Campaign Gets Boost from EC and Slovenian Government
David Caro, ESBA President, today welcomed support from both the European Commission and the government of Slovenia for ESBA’s PayIn7 campaign for a €65 billion boost to small business cash flow by encouraging all public payers to pay their bills within 7 days, rather than 30.
“ESBA’s million members are delighted that the EC supports our message that public administrations should speed up their payments and has encouraged the rest of the business community to get behind the campaign“.
Vidar Kožar, ESBA Senior Vice-President and Director at the Chamber of Small Business and Trade of Slovenia, welcoming the Slovenian announcement said that “My members will be very relieved and grateful to hear the news that Slovenian Parliament has passed a law saying that deadlines for payments to them from the state budget are to be shortened to 8 days.”
The ‘Pay in 7’ campaign was launched recently by the ESBA Board, who represent one million small companies across the EU. They advocate this cash boost to business to be implemented by all public bodies, to accompany many Member State governments’ plans for increased lending already announced.
